Booking your session

  • To book, reply to my booking email to say you agree to these terms, and pay the full session fee by card. Klarna available. Your date is booked once I have both, and I’ll confirm it by email.

  • One dog: £300, including the session, a reveal video and 30 digital photos.

  • Two dogs: £450, including the session, a reveal video and 45 digital photos.

  • More than two dogs: I’m happy to talk it through, case by case.

Your session

  • There’s no fixed time limit. Most sessions last around two hours.

  • I’ll suggest a place that suits your dog, from spots I know well across the South West. I don’t photograph in gardens.

  • There’s no travel charge.

  • If your dog needs a secure dog field, I’ll book one, and you pay exactly what the field charges me.

  • If your dog can’t be off lead, they can stay on a lead, which I remove in editing.

  • You’re always welcome to join in for a few photos with your dog.

Your dog

Before your session, please tell me about anything that might affect it, such as health problems, how your dog is with other dogs and people, and how good their recall is. You’re responsible for your dog during the session, and for making sure they’re fit and well enough for a walk.

I take every care on a session, and I hold public liability insurance of £1,000,000, with proof available on request. Nothing in these terms limits my responsibility for injury caused by my own negligence.

Weather

Light rain is fine. In heavy rain, or if it isn’t safe, I move the date at no extra cost.

Changing or cancelling

  • If you need to move your date: you can move it once, free of charge, if you tell me at least 7 days before your session. If it’s less than 7 days, or you need a second move, I’ll do my best to find a new date. If I can’t, it counts as cancelling within 7 days.

  • If you need to cancel: more than 7 days before your session, I refund your session fee in full. Within 7 days of your session, I refund half of it.

  • If your dog is unwell, injured or in season: your dog comes first. I’ll move your date free of charge, or give you a full refund if you’d rather. The same goes if, sadly, you lose your dog before your session.

  • If I have to cancel: if illness, injury, an emergency or a problem with my equipment means I can’t make your session, you choose between a new date and a full refund.

  • If you’re late or can’t make it on the day: if you’re running late, just let me know. If you don’t turn up and don’t tell me, it counts as cancelling within 7 days.

Your right to cancel within 14 days

If you book by email, phone or online, you can cancel within 14 days of the day your booking is agreed, without giving any reason. To cancel, email me at studio@marklepoidevinphotography.co.uk to say you want to cancel. You can use the cancellation form I send with your booking email, but you don’t have to.

If you cancel within the 14 days, I’ll refund everything you’ve paid within 14 days of hearing from you, the same way you paid. If you’ve asked for your session to happen within those 14 days, and you cancel once it has started, you pay for the part I’ve already provided.

Gift vouchers

  • A gift voucher pays for one session, as written on the voucher.

  • One dog: the session, a reveal video and 30 digital photos.

  • Two dogs: the session, a reveal video and 45 digital photos.

  • If you’d like to add a second dog to a one dog voucher, you just pay the difference between my one and two dog prices at the time. Your voucher doesn’t cover wall art, or the cost of a secure dog field if your dog needs one.

  • Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the day it’s bought, and the expiry date is on the voucher. Your session needs to take place before then. It covers the session it names, even if my prices change.

  • To book, email me at studio@marklepoidevinphotography.co.uk with your voucher number. You’re welcome to pass your voucher on to someone else, as long as it hasn’t been used. If you lose it, just let me know and I’ll replace it using the voucher number.

  • If you bought your voucher by email, phone or online, you can cancel within 14 days of buying it, and I’ll refund you in full. After that, a voucher can’t be refunded or swapped for money, and it can’t be used once it has expired.

  • If you need to move or cancel a voucher session, tell me at least 7 days before and I’ll find you a new date before your voucher expires. You can do this once, free of charge. If it’s less than 7 days before, or you don’t turn up, you can book one new date by paying half of my session fee at the time. Otherwise, your voucher counts as used.

  • If your dog is unwell, injured or in season, or if the weather or I have to cancel, I’ll move your date free of charge, even if the new date is after your voucher expires. If you’d rather have a refund in those cases, or if, sadly, you lose your dog before your session, I’ll refund the person who bought the voucher, the same way they paid.

  • Everything else in these booking terms applies to voucher sessions too.

Your reveal and photos

  • About two weeks after your session, you’ll see your photos for the first time in a reveal video set to music, in person where possible, otherwise by video call.

  • After your reveal, your digital photos arrive by an online gallery link.

  • I choose and edit every photo myself, and I don’t supply RAW or unedited files.

  • Your gallery link stays live for 3 months, so please download your photos within that time. I keep your photo files for 2 years after your session.

Wall art

  • You choose your wall art after your reveal, and pay in full by card when you order. Klarna available.

  • Everything is made to order. Your order arrives about two weeks later. I hand deliver where I can, and delivery is added if your order is posted.

  • I take great care over the quality of your wall art, but there may be slight differences in colour and finish. If anything arrives faulty or damaged, please let me know as soon as you can, and I’ll have it remade or replaced free of charge. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.

As your wall art is made to order from your photos, the 14 day right to cancel doesn’t apply to it.

Copyright and using your photos

  • I keep the copyright in all the photos from your session. You can use your digital photos for your own personal use. Anything else needs my agreement in writing.

  • I may show photos of your dog from your session on my website and social media, unless you tell me in writing before your session that you’d rather I didn’t. I’ll always ask you first before using any photo where you can be recognised.

  • By booking, you confirm that you own your dog, or have the owner’s permission for the session.

I look after your information as set out in my privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
